rain, then sunny
373 recordings of 35 types, 8 old SVU, 32 CPD. 22% clear. (I actually had this ready yesterday but ran out of time to post it.)
(My laptop keeps deciding to shut down. I suppose it's time to get a new one. Argh. I had written up to Wednesday and lost it all.)
Monday night (November 20th) I had been rummaging in the kitchen pantry and found some cheddar flavored fried onions, so I thought it might be fun to make a green bean casserole. The mushroom soup can I dragged out was old, but had no bulges, so I thought it would be OK. It tasted rather bitter but I made up the casserole anyway... but then I began to feel a little odd. It may have been all in my head but I decided to toss it and eat something else, in the hopes the taste hadn't poisoned me. I'm still here!
Tuesday I went to breakfast with the WPAC ladies. Then I checked up to be sure the Hazmat people would be open. On the website I saw that they had a limit of 2 propane tanks. This was surprising and disappointing as I had 4, but oh, well. I loaded up the stuff and over I went. I have figured out since that the clear liquid in the glass jar was probably paint thinner, but I couldn't remember while I was there. That didn't matter. I asked why the limit on propane tanks and the guy told me there was no limit, apparently the website was wrong. Oh, well, I told him, I'll be back after Thanksgiving!
I pulled out the squash, which was through, and started digging out weeds on that bed. It'll be the next to get some leaves on it.
I made the rolled olives on Tuesday so they could be in the fridge and getting hard before I made the rest of the relish tray.
And I finished the Second Confession. I'm getting through these Nero Wolfe books like popcorn!
Wednesday I went to Hobby Lobby for candles for the candlestick I was polishing up for Roni. Then to Raley's for Niki's birthday card. I was thinking that eventually the DMV will give me another driving test, my first since I was 15. I could always tell them that I was a great driver, since I can stay in one piece in Raley's parking lot the day before Thanksgiving! It's sure different from Laramie, Wyoming in 1959!
I cut the peppers for the relish tray and put the turkey picture together in a dress rehearsal before all of it went back into the fridge.
Also, I transferred Africa pictures to a thumb drive so I could enjoy them on the picture frame, since the disc was never going to get to them.
